On te context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities special day, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to eliminating barriers and prejudices faced by people with disabilities and to continue generating inclusive employment opportunities. To this end, we promote various initiatives that are carried out by our Diversity and Inclusion Committee led by Marlene Fernandez and its Axis on Persons with Disabilities guided by Lina Ortiz.

Among other actions, through the “McDonald’s saw in me” platform and with the collaboration of all markets, we present an inspiring documentary “Autonomy in disability” where the testimonies and opinions of employees with disabilities who found employment opportunities in the Company are unveiled. Currently, we employ approximately 2,400 people with disabilities throughout the region.

“At Arcos Dorados, we care about creating an inclusive and respectful work environment where every individual, regardless of their disability, can thrive and contribute fully. We foster a culture of teamwork, where respect, inclusion and equal opportunities prevail, and we continuously strengthen the conditions to create more accessible spaces,” says Marlene Fernández.

As a Company, we continuously promote people’s autonomy, creating the necessary conditions for them to make decisions and carry out their daily activities using their own abilities and resources. Thus, we have numerous alliances and collaborations with different non-governmental organizations that promote social integration.

We are committed to continuing to be a reference in the employment inclusion of people with disabilities and promoting a fair and equitable society. We recognize the value of all individuals in this community in Latin America who accompany us, teach us and demonstrate their commitment to work every day. Together, we have the power to make a significant impact on the lives of many people,” says Lina Ortiz.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee, created in 2018, promotes equality, respect and equity in the workplace. Its main objective is to promote a safe and respectful working environment through the development of initiatives that positively impact all collaborators.
