Despite the strong health crisis we are facing, our Company continues to move forward. This month we opened the doors of a new restaurant in Santiago de Chile. It is the 87th restaurant in the country and the 3rd to be opened this year, along with the openings in the districts of Puente Alto and Lampa.
The new restaurant, located in La Florida, has a surface area of 480m2, distributed on two levels, with a seating capacity at tables for more than 150 people. It has EOTF technology to offer the best experience to the families of the region, with self-service kiosks, digital screens and entertainment table-top tablets, besides offering a personalized experience by giving customers the possibility to select their own ingredients.
For the time being, the new store operates only through the Drive-Thru, McDelivery and McToGo services. In addition to the usual high safety standards, the safety protocols established through McProtected are also in place. Among the main measures implemented, we highlight social distancing in workspaces for employees, customers and delivery staff, the mandatory use of face masks and the installation of protective acrylic shields at order points. In addition, rigorous frequency was established in the cleaning of kitchens and common areas, as well as sanitation, the use of double-folded bags and triple sealing for delivery packaging.
“In recent months, we have concentrated all our energy on keeping McDonald’s restaurants in Chile open under strict preventive protocols that allow us, until today, to bring our gastronomic offer to customers throughout the country. With this new restaurant, we are renewing the commitment that our Company has maintained with the country over the past three decades,” said Carlos González, General Manager of Chile, to important media in the country.
When the time comes, customers in the region will be able to visit the new restaurant and enjoy the safest spaces with table service, Playplaces, private party room and much more.
Congratulations to the entire Chilean team for this great achievement!
