Historical record! Over 59 thousand people visited our kitchens on a single day

Last September 27, as part of the International Transparency Day, we celebrated a new edition of the “International Open Doors Day”, inviting our customers, friends and family to discover firsthand how we make our most iconic burgers and, it was complete success!

It was a unique opportunity, thanks to the guided tours, to show people the manufacturing processes in our restaurants, to discover the freshness of our ingredients and the quality of the raw material used, and also to witness the safety and hygiene processes in our day-to-day work and learn about the opportunities of first employment and professional development offered, which are the pillars of our company.

Year 2018 brought lots of innovative proposals! Such as in Brazil, where an event was held that brought together representatives of food, nutrition, academic sectors and public authorities to discuss the importance of food safety and the need to display the nutritional information on our restaurant’s menu. In addition, a web series was developed, with chef Raul Lemos as its host, to talk about the origin of the main ingredients used at McDonald’s in a completely transparent way.

As a company, we seek to promote trust and closeness to customers and that is only achieved through transparency. Since the first Open Doors edition in 2014, more than eight million people across the region have been welcomed into our kitchens and lived an experience beyond the counter. With such initiatives, we are demonstrating our commitment to providing the best quality and experience that enables our customers to adopt and apply the knowledge that they have acquired in their homes.
