Empowerment, inclusion and equity of opportunities: The guiding principles for Women’s Day

The UN established March 8 as International Day in remembrance of 1875 march in which female employees walked out into the streets to demand a reduction in daily working hours, better wages and the right to vote. This is why, we are not talking about commemoration, gifts or awards: we are talking about concrete actions to support the development of women.

Thus, under the motto “The more women, the better”, we launched Arcos Dorados Women’s Network via a simultaneous transmission in all four languages. An event hosted by Elizabeth Porth, Corporate Director of Marketing and Network Leader.

The objective is to identify the obstacles and other barriers faced by women within the company in their professional development, project management and, more generally, their recognition. It is an initiative to highlight their talent within AD to better accompany them to the highest levels of the company. Our Women’s Network aims to create a unified voice among women to strengthen our business while thinking about the future of Arcos Dorados.

In addition, our markets have already taken the lead with innovative initiatives!

At Arcos Dorados, we work day after day to promote values, encourage the training and learning of women and men, by providing support and well-being.

We believe in the power of women, the leadership of women, the power of women to innovate. Alongside McDonald’s Women, let’s celebrate this great day!
